Shillong, September, 2025 - Compliance Kart Pvt. Ltd. is pleased to announce the opening of our new office in Shillong, Meghalaya. This marks an important step in strengthening our presence in the region and supporting the on-ground execution of carbon credit projects in partnership with local communities.

Our Shillong team brings deep local knowledge and strong connections with the people of Meghalaya. With their commitment and expertise, they are helping communities earn carbon credits from bamboo forests while promoting sustainable livelihoods. This initiative is spearheaded by the Meghalaya Basin Development Authority (MBDA) and brings together innovation, local expertise, and purpose to create lasting impact for both people and the planet.

Alongside this, Compliance Kart has also initiated a bamboo-based biochar pilot project in the region. The pilot aims to demonstrate how bamboo biochar can improve soil health, increase agricultural productivity, and strengthen climate resilience, while also creating new opportunities for generating carbon credits. The project will be managed directly by our local team in Shillong, ensuring strong community engagement and effective on-ground implementation.

The Shillong office will serve as a hub for collaboration with communities, government partners, and stakeholders as we continue our mission of enabling community-driven climate solutions across India.
